Inauguration

Capitalism has not only undermined Democracy in America, it has compromised its integrity as a system through which the will of the People voice their choices by which the government ought to operate.

Essentially the various corporate interests that have infiltrated and hacked the Republican Party have left our electorate system vulnerable.  External foreign elements took advantage of the backdoor the corporatists built in to elect the current impostor in chief.

So...

Everyone knows this story, the 24-hour news, social media etc have essentially made the last two years into a hyper realistic parody of itself, the "worst" or "saddest" or "darkest" timeline as it it often referred to.

The journalistic norms that would typically go into crafting a story, the bedrock of the five 'w's - who, what, when, where and why, often does not address the "how".  As in, when addressing a particularly corrupt member of the ruling oligarchy, "how do you sleep with yourself at night?", the common retort is usually "on a large stack of money!".

Well, a comprised system that has a backdoor built in, can be accessed by any and all who have a key to that backdoor and know where to look for it.  As such I recall a secondhand conversation, relayed to me by a co-worker, who being young, naive, and prideful, boasted of his high minded integrity and morality when speaking with a supposed person of some wealth.

The co-worker exclaimed "I cannot be bought" as he relayed how the other participant in the conversation had said that typically American phrase; "everyone has a price".  Please keep in mind that my co-worker comes from money and to me, at least, does not know what it means to be without material security.

Instead of pointing out the above and constructing a thoughtful argument to point out that glaring inconsistency of his line of thinking, that "not everything is about money", I decided to go a different direction.

I was instead reminded of the scene from the Blues Brothers, the one in which Jake adopts a sort of middle eastern accent and turns to a stuffy affluent gentlemen in the restaurant that one of his former band-mates is currently employed at and asks, "how much, your wife and daughters? How much - I want to buy them!".

Like a sultan of old or an oil sheikh offering gold for his women, the notion of white slavery being a matter of price would seem the gravest of taboos.  As my mind recollected this scene, I instead turned to my co-worker and said, "it sounds like a challenge.  It sounds as though to me, when you say 'I can't be bought', what you really mean is 'I dare someone to offer me a great deal of money to do something that would not be in the normal range of my behavior' and that you either have not met someone wealthy enough or, probably more accurately, someone willing enough to make such an offer.  Your challenge presupposes that you indeed have something of value to trade for such a large amount of money or wealth".

While he clearly did not think too critically about my comments, I was pleased with the obvious humor.  He kept saying "I can't be bought" and I kept replying "sounds like a challenge".

A challenge indeed...

My thoughts turned to Dump Truck the first of his name, and a story I read about in The Atlantic (see the link to the article below) about how right around the time the Access Hollywood tape came out with him confessing his predilection to pussy grabbing, a group of billionaires had considered offering the nuclear dumpster fire a payoff to drop off the Republican ticket.

While I can't say if the offer was actually made, or if the Orange idiot was aware of the discussions, but supposedly when asked "how much" it would take for him to drop off, the number that came back was 800 million dollars.  An interesting number to be sure if true, some wonder if this might be the amount the mango Mussolini might be into the Russian Mob for.

Regardless, the story and the character conversation started the mental gears a turning.  Could a sitting politician be asked, how much it would take for them to resign their seat, or to change their party affiliation, or to sell their children, or any other number of questions.  After all, they've effectively sold out their country, how much more would it take for them to sell out their party or to sell their perceived soul or morality?

For some politicians, who are so clearly compromised by their greed, it would seem that the price tag is high, not due to a moral hurdle but rather because of how much more they stand to make doing the bidding of the donor class.  "I'd trade it all....for just a little bit more".

With that said, it's at least asking the question and getting a genuine answer, because who knows, maybe that answer would prompt someone to anonymously create a kickstarter or gofundme to raise that money.  For instance, if someone asked you, how much money would it take you to quit your job, what harm would it do to come up with a reasonable number?

The divisionists are paying to cause everyday Americans to turn on each other.  Money has given the oligarchs more freedom of speech than the common American. Tolerance of this will not come without cost.  Even now, the basket of deplorables that is this administration and their supporters in the Republican Party are beginning to be targeted by direct protests.  To continue this, let us seek answers to the important questions but let us also tear and scratch at those who would devise to divide and conquer us.

So we have an idea of how much then candidate Cheeto would have taken to drop out of the race for president.  But I wonder, how much he would sell his wife for?  I mean it's his third wife, and we know he doesn't really value women.

Obviously the taboo that I mentioned above and his pride would more than likely prevent him from answering publicly, but he would think about it and he him being him, he would come up with a number... could that cause even further marital conflict between the turd and the immigrant? I would hope so, I would also hope that he would eventually tell someone, anyone, what that number is.

The history of the White House under king trash bag, as well as the proclivity of those who he speaks with to leak the content of those conversations, would eventually make that number public.  Ultimately though, the process is trolling at its heart and not exceedingly productive.

So what is productive?  Asking Sarah Fuckabee how much it would take for her to be respectful to reporters by not lying to them during the whitehouse daily briefings?  Asking how much it would take for Steven miller to tattoo a swastika on his forehead?  Why not ask these and also such similar questions?
